Before you begin
Connect your iPhone to reliable Wi-Fi and open the installation details in your esimnexo account. Confirm that your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
Check your plan’s activation policy before installing. Some plans begin their validity period immediately upon installation.
Add your travel eSIM
- Open Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code provided in your account and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Label the new line Travel so you can recognise it easily.
- If you want to keep using your regular number for calls, leave it selected as your default voice line.
If you are scanning the QR code with your camera, display it on another device or screen.
Connect when you arrive
Within your plan’s coverage area, open Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data, enable your travel line, and select it under Cellular Data or Mobile Data.
Set Data Roaming for the travel line according to your plan’s instructions. To help prevent data use on your home line, turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching and disable data roaming on your regular SIM.
Calls and messages on your regular line remain subject to your home carrier’s charges.
Keep your eSIM installed
Keep the installed eSIM on your phone unless support asks you to remove it. Some QR codes permit only one installation, so deleting the profile may prevent you from adding it again.
If you need help, open a support ticket from your esimnexo account and select the relevant order or eSIM.
